That’s a Wrap on the 2026 Wedding Season!

That’s a Wrap on the 2026 Wedding Season!

The last of the reception lights have been packed away, the emergency kits are restocked, and the final thank you notes are rolling in. Another wedding season has officially come to a close here at This Little Wife, and we could not be more grateful for every couple who trusted us with one of the biggest days of their lives.

Before we dive headfirst into planning for next year, we wanted to take a moment to look back, say thank you, and share a few things we learned along the way.

A Season Full of Love (and a Few Surprises)

Every wedding is different, and this season proved it again and again. We coordinated intimate backyard ceremonies and big, full dance floor celebrations. We worked with couples who had every detail mapped out on a spreadsheet and couples who walked into our first meeting with nothing but a date and a dream. Both are exactly what we love.

Of course, no wedding goes 100% according to plan, and that is precisely why we exist. This season we fixed bustles minutes before the grand entrance, tracked down a missing vendor or two, rearranged seating charts on the fly, and kept more than a few groomsmen in line for photos. Our couples never had to know about most of it, and that is the whole point. Our job is to handle the chaos so you can stay present in the moments that matter.

Thank You to Our Couples

To every couple who welcomed us into your planning process this year: thank you. You trusted us with your timelines, your families, your vendors, and your vision. Watching your day come together is the best part of what we do, and we are honored to have been a small piece of your story.

We have been so touched by the reviews and messages that have come in this season. Hearing that we helped you sit back, breathe, and actually enjoy your wedding day means everything to us. That is the goal every single time.

A Huge Shout Out to Our Vendor Partners

A great wedding takes a great team. To the venues, photographers, florists, DJs, caterers, bakers, hair and makeup artists, and every other vendor we worked alongside this season: thank you. Your talent and professionalism make our job easier and our couples’ days unforgettable. We are proud of the vendor network we have built and we cannot wait to work with all of you again next year.

What We Learned This Season

Every season teaches us something new. Here are a few lessons we will carry into next year, and some advice for couples who are just starting to plan:

Build buffer time into your timeline. Hair and makeup almost always runs long. Photos take longer than you think. A well planned timeline with breathing room is the secret to a relaxed wedding day.

Do not skip the rehearsal. A smooth rehearsal sets the tone for a smooth ceremony. When everyone knows where to stand and when to walk, the nerves calm down and the day flows.

Have a rain plan, even if the forecast looks perfect. Indiana weather has a mind of its own. A solid backup plan means you never have to panic when the clouds roll in.

Delegate the details. You should not be fielding vendor calls or setting out centerpieces on your wedding day. That is what a coordinator is for. Your only job is to show up and celebrate.

Book your key vendors early. The most popular dates and vendors fill up fast. The earlier you secure your venue, photographer, and coordinator, the more options you will have.

Looking Ahead to 2027

As we close the book on this season, we are already excited for what is next. Our 2027 calendar is officially open and dates are starting to fill. Whether you just got engaged over the holidays or you have been dreaming about your day for years, now is the perfect time to start planning.

At This Little Wife, we offer a range of services to fit every couple and every budget:
